Savannah is making progress!. She is up to 12 ml every 3 hours. Just 4 more mls and she will be off the iv fluids. No more iv fluids = no more picc line!! She is fed the 12 mls over a 30 minute period. The nurse said by 10am tomorrow she should be at 16ml and if all goes well she'll be free of the picc line by Wednesday!! I don't have today's weight yet because I'm doing an early post and they weigh them at night.
I got to hold her today for about an hour and a half. She did really well and her monitors only beeped a few times. The cool thing is now that she is free of the cpap she can wear hats. So when I took her out to hold her, I put on her little hats. Christina made some hats for Savannah and her friend. Two of them are matching hats- they're so cute. Cousin Madison's doll served as a model for Savannah's hats. The doll's head is the same size as Savannah's.
Auntie Melody made laundry bags for Savannah and her friend. They'll help us with the blankets, wash cloths, towels and hats that we take for them and then need to take back home to be washed. They'll hang from their iv poles. I love them and I think Melody did a great job!
Well I need to bathe Baby Kevin. He had me laughing today because he says "truck" for every truck he saw on the ride home. We live in Texas- so that means he was saying "truck" a LOT! He was excited about each truck- so cute. Anyways it's bath time so that means the end of this blog.
Thank you for praying Savannah. We appreciate your prayers and know they're making a difference! Please keep on praying for her and her friend.
Here are today's pictures.
The laundry bags so cute for something that will just carry dirty items.
Madison's doll- the model for Savannah's hats. Look at all the hats that Christina made in one day! She is so talented!

Time to check her temperature. Nurse Courtney is making sure she is ok before I held her today.
Wide awake! She knew something new and exciting was about to happen :)
Savannah in her little hat. Isn't it so cute? The fashion show begins! :) Clothes will come once she is at least 4 lbs.
