For her four week birthday, Savannah decided to be stable enough to be moved to a new bed. She's now in bed 7. It was a bittersweet move because her friend was not moved with us. We're saving a spot for her and hope she can be moved soon too. Yesterday, she was eating 17mls every 3 hours and today she is up 18mls. She has maxed out for amount of milk for her weight. The milk is now being fortified to make it 24 calories to help her gain weight. Yesterday she was at 5 liters on the nasal canulla and today is a 4 liters. She is now 2lbs 10oz.
They started evaluating her at each feed to see if she is showing cues that she is ready to attempt being feed by mouth instead of the tube. They still expect it to be another 2 weeks before she is ready to start making that transition.
Today thanks to Hanna - her nurse- I was able to bathe Savannah for the first time! Hanna arranged to bathe her during the day which they rarely do. I really appreciated her making it possible. Savannah wasn't too excited about the bath and cried for most of it but it was still a great experience.
Thank for continuing to pray for Savannah. She is doing very well and making great progress. Pray for her to continue with this forward progression and that she'll be reunited with her friend soon.
Here are the pictures from the last two days.
Today (11/18)- all snuggled in after her bath
Mommy I am not too sure about this daytime bath :)
Maybe I didn't use enough bubbles. Savannah getting a bath in her tubby :)
Just in case I didn't get the message- this is before she started splashing in the water.
