YAY!!! God is awesome!! Savannah has graduated from the bubble cpap to the high flow nasal canulla. Savannah's neighbor's mom sent me a text this morning with the great news. The nurses and doctors are so busy they don't call more than once a day with updates unless it's something not good so it's nice to have her give me updates when I can't be there.
Savannah is 2lbs 8oz. She is eating 10ml every 3 hours now- getting closer and closer to 16 mls. They decreased her fluids by 60% which is another good thing. The swelling in her face and feet have gone down thanks to the decrease in iv fluids.
I got to hold her today. I just sat there and stared at her face- maybe a little too much because the nurse offered to get me a mirror because my neck was in such an awkward position :) I declined the mirror. I just wanted to see her face all free of the head gear and free of the swelling. She looked so good. It was great sight to see. I still can't believe that God has blessed us with this little girl. I'm so proud of our little fighter.
Please continue to pray for Savannah. Pray for continued forward progress, her to remain infection free, and for her overall development. Please also keep her neighbor in your prayers. She had a setback with tolerating her feeds.
Here are the pictures from today.
Yay!! Two hands up for my graduation from the bubble cpap to the nasal canulla.
I asked Kevin to take a picture of us. lol I guess I don't count anymore :) It's all about Savannah. This is how I was for over an hour- just sat there staring at her beautiful face.
Ok mom. Please listen to daddy. No more pictures please.
Ok fine..just one more picture while I stretch :)
I went to a baby shower today for Savannah's neighbor. This is her mom and I at the shower. It was a great shower. Her friends did such a good job with the decorations and food. It was an ice cream themed shower. Baby Kevin went with me. He enjoyed all the attention from the ladies.
