Baby Kevin had a feeding clinic and an ENT appointment today so he was pretty busy as was my mom who played taxi driver for him. He did very well at the feeding clinic. I expect him to be discharged soon. The ENT ordered a sleep study for him to make sure that everything is ok. I am wondering if it is necessary but I figure if the insurance is covering it that it couldn't hurt to get the complete work up. He remains very active! His new thing is trying to shower with the water dispenser from the fridge! It's so hard to keep a straight face and tell him "no" when he's dancing under the water from the fridge. :)
Good Morning Mommy. Can we play some ball before you go to work?
So the good news is:
- She remains stable and infection free
- She has a new picc line. The procedure went very well. She tolerated the sedation and they were able to place the new picc line were they desired it.
- Her physical therapist said she is developing well.
- She is being fed again and is tolerating the feeds.
Please pray for the following:
- The results from the echo will show that her PDA is closed and she will not need surgery.
- She will continue to tolerate her feedings
- Her overall developments and to remain infection free
Thank you for your prayers and support. I am still amazed at how God is using people to remind us of His perfect plan for us. Two friends since high school (both who I haven't done a good job of keeping in touch with) brought dinner on different days. Not having to worry about dinner is such a stress reliever especially now that I'm back at work (only part time). I blessed by their generosity. Some of the medical staff for Savannah attend our church- although I had never met them before the NICU, it's comforting to know that they're involved with her care. I could list more examples but I need to get ready for tomorrow.
Here are some pictures from today:
The tube is her feeding tube. This her first feeding after a 72 hour temp hold on her feedings. Yay! for food. As they increase the food, they'll decrease the iv fluids.
