Savannah had a busy day today. She weighed in at 3lbs 3oz. She had an eye exam. Her eyes are developing well. She tolerated the eye exam a lot better than her brother did when he was in the NICU. She will get another eye exam in 2 weeks. She is at 26mls of milk fed over a 45 minute period. Her cannula was reduced slightly from 3 to 2.5 liters of oxygen. She did have 2 brady events events; however one was right after her eye exam which is to be expected.
She had a first today. She managed to shower the nurse during a diaper change. The nurse was very surprised. She expected these type of surprises from the little boys of the NICU. Savannah's shower made the nurse change her shirt. hmmm I hope she doesn't do this to mommy :)
Savannah is so blessed! She got some presents this weekend. She got 2 really cute "it's my first christmas" sleepers (preemie size). One from Ale and one from Jonetta. She also two preemie sleepers from Nicole. Baby Kevin also got a Big Brother shirt. A little sister onesie for Savannah :) I had intended to buy these, but Savannah came early and I did not get the chance-so thanks Nicole! Sidenote: Savannah has all the preemie clothes she will need. Her closet is ready for the upcoming parade of outfits so if you're thinking of getting her something please buy it in newborn and up. thanks!
Good news about Savannah's friend. The infection is gone!! She does NOT have a cyst in her liver. They'll be evaluating her intestines tomorrow so please pray for good results. Thank you continuing to pray for Savannah and her friend. We really appreciate it.
Stretching. It's hard work getting strong enough to come home, but I'm working on it!
This diaper maybe a little too big. I know I showered my nurse, but that doesn't mean I need a bigger size diaper!
You can barely see her, but I figured I had to take one with a Savannah shirt on.
