Savannah's PDA is still open and still ranked as a moderate PDA. Round 2 of the medicine began today. Please pray that round 2 will be enough to close it. If not, she will need surgery to close PDA. Otherwise, she seems to be doing ok. She is stable and her carbon dioxide levels are no longer increasing. She is holding at 2lbs 4oz which is good because she is still not being fed due to the medicine so there is the potential for a some weight loss. She is receiving TPN and lipids for some nutrition.
I called to check on her tonight and her nurse said she is desating less so that is good.
I received a great surprise today. My other preemie moms came together to send some financial support our way. This is such a blessing because Kevin just returned to work and I have very limited time off. I really appreciate what they did for us- such a sweet surprise.

Baby Kevin stayed with Grandma while we visited Savannah. He slept the entire visit. Here we are headed back home. Can't wait until Savannah can join us for the ride home.

ReplyDeleteElla took too rounds of meds for her pda to close. So don't give up hope in it not closing with the meds. She is so cute. Hugs
