Savannah is off the sipap and back on the bubble cpap. She is on the cpap at 6 liters of oxygen. They will try and slowly wean her off the oxygen support. I'm praying this the final goodbye to the sipap. She is up to 5ml of breast milk every 3 hours and continues to handle the feedings well- no residuals. As they increase the amount of her feeds, they decrease the amount of her iv fluids (the TPN and lipids). Decreasing the iv fluids is a good thing. She has been swelling some due to fluid retention from the iv fluids. Her little eye looked swollen today so the swelling should be going down. She is now 2lbs 6oz.
I got to hold her today for a little over an hour. She did very well while I held her.
Thank you for praying for Savannah and our family. Please continue to pray that she remains infection free, she thrives on the cpap and for her overall development.
