Savannah is five weeks old today. She weighs 2lbs 14oz and is 14 1/2 inches. She is at 22mls fed over a 45 minute period. They increased it to 45 minutes from 30 minutes because she was getting some residuals (not fully digesting her feeds). She graduated from the micro preemie diaper to the preemie diaper. You'll see in the picture that the preemie diaper is still big and requires some folding. However after a few bed changes from leaking diapers, they decided to graduate her to the next diaper size :)
I visited her today for about 3 hours. It breaks my heart to stay "visited". Why am I visiting my own daughter?? Anyways we had some quality bonding time. She was very alert and she practiced nursing for about 15 minutes. She is slowing improving!! It's so amazing to me what she is capable of doing. I then kangaroo carried her about 2 hours.
Thank you for praying for Savannah. Please pray that she will continue to progress with her feeding so that we can attempt the real deal soon and for overall development and that her friend will be graduated alongside us soon. We miss her and her mom!
