Savannah- Just eating and hanging out

Savannah is now 2lbs 8oz. She is eating 7ml every 3 hours. The goal is to get her to 16ml so she can be completely off the iv fluids (TPN and lipids). She is still on the bubble cpap, but the good thing is that she is doing well on the bubble cpap. She is still at 6 liters. Her doctor decided not to try weaning her off the oxygen support today. Maybe tomorrow they'll start seeing if she can tolerate less oxygen support.

I got to hold her today. I held her for a little over an hour. She did really well and did not desat once while I held her. It was nice to hold without her monitor beeping at me :) When Kevin and I went to see her this morning she was lying on her back with her arms up by her face just sleeping. The doctor said "not much change. she's just eating and hanging out today".

Thank you for praying for Savannah and our family. We appreciate all your prayers and know that power of prayer definitely changes things.

Here are the pictures from today.

I spent an hour with a sleeping Savannah and went to Oma's to get Baby Kevin. He was tired so we took a nap together. :) From one sleepy girl to one sleepy boy. I thought it was cute because Savannah was sleeping just like her big brother today.
There she is with her hands up by her face. Preemies typically prefer to sleep on their stomachs so it's good that she doesn't protest sleeping on her back. The nurses rotate her positions to ensure that she doesn't develop a weak side and to ensure a round head.
Snuggled with mommy. She pulled her "head gear" ( aka the cpap) down over her eyes. She is resting her chin on a washcloth.
All unbundled heading back to isolette
all snuggled back in her isolette with her sock doll

At the mall checking himself out in the mirrors
