Savannah is in an open crib

Savannah has graduated to an open crib!! No more isolette. She is doing great! She still needs to learn how to breathe and eat on her own before she can come home, but this is a great big step in the right direction. They took her off the caffeine today. She's been getting caffeine to help stimulate her so she remembers to breathe. She is still at 1 liter of oxygen on the nasal cannula. She is up to 30mls- so officially 1oz fed over a 1hour period every 3 hours. They extended the distribution time of her feed from 30mins to an hour to help with her reflux issues. Her crib is also at an incline to help reduce the reflux. We did attempt breastfeeding today but she was not interested so her entire feed was fed via a feeding tube.

I am hoping that she will not be moved to a new bed location. I love her current bed location because Baby N is her neighbor and his mom is good at updating me. She is actually the one who sent me the first picture of Savannah in the open crib. Such a great picture to receive at work! It seemed like a loooonnng work day because I wanted so badly to go see her.

I took a pink shirt for her to wear and some socks. The shirt was SO big on her so she still has some growing to do before they fit her. The shirt looked like a dress on her. The socks however did fit perfectly.

Thank you for continuing to pray for Savannah. Please also continue to pray for her friend. She is still recovering from the surgery.
