That's right! The nurse weighed her 3 times- and each time it said 4lbs- so it's official she is 4lbs :) She is down to 1 liter of oxygen on the nasal cannula and is at 29mls of milk. She was breathing fast today (prayfully it's just because she is adjusting to the reduced oxygen support). We did not attempt any oral feedings because she was breathing fast. She also had some more reflux today. Overall she is doing great and moving in the right direction! We had some good kangaroo time- for about and hour and a half.
Her friend had a rough day today. She had surgery. The surgery went well but she is still having some complications and the doctors are struggling to find answers. I was glad that I had 1/2 day off today because it allowed me to be there while the surgery was going on. Her mom is a strong but I know it has to be difficult so I was glad I could at least be there to offer some support.
Esperanza is here! Baby Kevin is enjoying having a playmate his size again. They are SO cute together. Esperanza is definitely the boss and for most of the time Kevin is ok with this arrangement. I got some great video and I'm looking forward to watching the cousins enjoy each other.
