No official date yet, but Savannah should be coming home in a few weeks so it's time to start getting her room ready. Although Daddy says he sees nothing wrong with her coming home to Baby Kevin's old decor and blue walls, I would prefer that we not do that. I realize that she is a baby and would not care, but I do. :) She may still very well come home to a hand-me-down nursery, but I'm doing my best to try and have a room that was decorated just for her! I was set on a purple room because I did not want pink walls. However, she has a giraffe theme going so I figured why not continue it? There are no purple giraffe bed sets that I could find. Based on my internet searches, I narrowed it down to a top 3. So which of the following 3 do you like? Place your vote and help me persuade Daddy that Savannah "needs" a baby girl giraffe themed nursery. :)
There are not uploaded in order of my favorite...anyways here is option #1. A giraffe set from Walmart- the cheapest- which maybe the deciding factor :)

This is option #2- most expensive- so this may be out of the running

Here is option #3- from Target/Babies R Us. I think this may be my favorite so far...although it has other animals besides the giraffe.

"Hello!!" the voting lines are now open- so please place your vote for my sister's room. Thank you! :)

lol ok so maybe that is not what he is saying...this was taken at Best Buy. He loves visiting Auntie Michelle at work! She lets him play with old display phones. He had both phones on his ears and kept saying helllooo. He was getting upset that no one was answering!
Now for our daily update: Savannah had a chest xray and an echo (ultrasound of her heart) done today to try to determine what is causing her respiratory rate to be so high. Ideally, they want under 60 breaths per minute. She is at 80 to 90 breaths per minute. In other words, she is still breathing fast. The last thing she needs to do is eat on her own. Once she does this she can come home. However they have all her feeding attempts on hold until her breathing rate stabilizes. The results of the xray and echo are pending. If her doctor cannot figure it out within the next 48 hours, she is going to bring in a pulmonologist to look at Savannah.
Otherwise she is doing great. She continues to digest her food, her reflux is being managed with the simply thick, and she is still breathing without any oxygen assistance. She maintained her weight- well she lost a few grams- she is 5lbs 5.6ozs.
Savannah and her BFF bought Baby N a cap and gown (thanks build-a-bear) for his upcoming nicu graduation. It is very cute!! I'll post a picture if I get permission from Baby N's mom :) He does not have an official date yet- but very soon.
Thank you for praying for Savannah and her friends. We look forward to 2011 nicu graduations for all of them :)

I love holding her.

As promised- here is the picture of Baby Kevin in his New Years hat. (maybe we should charge best buy for this subtle advertisement?)

My vote is 3..2..1
ReplyDeleteI like 3 because it has in a bit of KG's theme the monkey there to protect and share with lil Sis
3 or 2, in that order. Not a fan of 1. Like that KG and Nah-nah share animals in 3. :)
