Savannah- 12 weeks Old

12 weeks later... 84 days later... She did it. She has tripled her birth weight!! She weighs 6lbs .2 oz (yes that is point two). She is still in preemie clothes and diapers, but not for much longer. She is chunky and looks so different! I'm loving it.

She is down to 24 calories on her milk- still using the Simply Thick. She had an eye exam today. Everything looks like it is developing perfectly. She will need another eye exam in 2 weeks because they are not fully developed yet. She had her RSV synagis shots today. She did better with her feedings today- about 50 mls every 4 hours. She also breastfed like a champ! She is trying to so hard to come home. I'm sooo proud of her!

In other great news, Baby N and family are rooming in tonight and will be going home tomorrow!!! Baby N after more than 3 months got to meet his big brother today for this first time. Yes- a very happy graduation day for Baby N! I'm sooo very excited for them. Thrilled that we should be next!

Savannah's nurse said the rumor is that Savannah will room in (room in- is an overnight stay at the hospital with the parents in charge of her care to help transition her home) on Friday night and come home on Saturday!! We'll see what her doctor says tomorrow. We're ready for her to come home. (her room may not be quite ready yet...) but we are ready to have our family together in the same place. So exciting to see how far God has brought our little miracle.

Please continue to pray for Savannah's BFF. She had more complications today with her feedings. They're trying to increase her feeds so she can come off the iv fluids and of course work towards going home. They increased the volume and her body was not able to digest it. Please pray for healing and for her mom. I know it's very difficult on her. She will also be "losing" her nicu crew soon as our babies graduate. I am praying that God will provide another mom to be there for her. We of course will still be talking and seeing each other, but it'll be harder for her- I'm sure.

Also Baby Kevin as the ambassador child for the March for Babies has an upcoming professional shoot for the promotional flyers. The details have not been ironed out yet. I'm hoping to find a feasible way to juggle that and Savannah potential being home. I know you may asking why I would take on the additional responsibility of being so involved with the March of Babies- well it's because it is very important. I believe in their mission. They are actively researching and helping find ways to reduce prematurity as well as provide new technologies to help preemies thrive.

Back to Savannah- please in be prayer for her eyes to continue to development, protection against sickness as flu season is in full effect and for her soon-to-be-set homecoming date. Thank you for continuing to pray and for following us along this journey.

Here are today's pictures.
She loves to stick out her tongue.

"So tell me more about my big brother"
Can't wait to do this at home in her room!
