Savannah- 3 months old today!

Savannah is 3 months old today!! She is doing great. Our main concern right now is her reflux. It is preventing me from putting her down at night. Her bed is at an incline but even with the incline- the reflux is pretty bad. She gets so uncomfortable but then she gets hungry again but she's not holding her milk down. She is on prevacid and Simply Thick. So please keep this is your prayers.

She went to the pedi on monday. She weighs 6lbs 8oz. She is measuring in her adjusted age. She is looks like a newborn. People at the pedi were surprised when we said she was almost 3 months old. We have the pedi and the eye doctor on monday and the pulmonogist on Feb 3rd.

Baby Kevin loves his sister, but he as most kids his age- still has some jealousy issues. I am trying to make sure that he doesn't feel left out.

Top 10 of Baby Kevin's favorite things about Savannah.

1. Her hands. He loves to hold her hands. I guess he expects her to get up and follow him.

2. Her hairbows. He always wants to put them on her or on himself. We definitely need to work on being gentle.

3. Her diapers. He brought me a whole 36 pack of diapers- one by one. Each time he handed me one, he said "thank you, thank you." UHmm yes son, thank you but now can we put them back. I was in the middle of feeding her so that's why he got to move 36 diapers without inference.

4. Her toys. He keeps saying "Baby. Baby" "Nan-nah" as he tries to "give" them to her.

5. Her blankets. I've been placing her on blankets for tummy time or diaper changes. He pulls out the blankets, shakes it out, lays on the floor and then lies on top of it. He is very proud of himself when he does this.

6. Her pack n play. I woke up around 3am to find Kevin in her pack n play- bouncing all around. I panicked!!!and then I realized-that I was the rocking chair and Savannah was in my arms.

7. Helping me. He brings me wipes, diapers, bottles, pacifiers, socks, and anything else he finds. Each time- He says "Baby" and I praise him for being such a big helper.

8. Her swing. He's back to being interested in the swing. He climbs in it all by himself.

9. Her cry. He mocks her crying. He'll come up right next to her and start fake crying. he says "Nah-Nah" "wahhhhwahhhh" I need to get this on video. It's pretty funny!

10. Her car seat. He climbs into her car seat and says "vroooom vrooom"

Please continue to pray for Savannah's BFF- she may be in the nicu for another 6 months. Her main issue now is her body ability to digest her feeds. Baby N is at home and doing well. He has an upcoming sleep study to evaluate him for a potential need for oxygen assistance at night. Thank you for praying for Savannah and her nicu mafia friends.

Sidenote: I'll blog about her homecoming day once I can dedicate some time to tell it properly. It was such a special day with very many special moments. I need more sleep before I can share that.

Here are today's pictures.

Pictures are deceiving. She looks big. She is chunky but big- not so much. She still wears preemie clothes.
Can you find the baby in the bouncer?

I don't want to hold her right now. I want to play with my monkey.

  1. Hey you should check out the nap nanny http://www.napnanny.com/. My friend's little boy has reflux too, is on Simply Thick, and had problems sleeping. She used to put him to sleep in the carseat b/c that's all that would work. She found the nap nanny, and it works perfectly now! She swears by it!
