Before we start our Savannah update, Baby Kevin would like to make an endorsement for his new favorite toy- Yookidoo Stack N Stream Tub Fountain. He loves his bath time already and now I can barely get him out of the tub. He loves stacking the toys in a variety of ways and enjoys the constant stream of water. It is totally worth the $20!
I spent a good 45 minutes searching for a picture of baby kevin in the outfit that Savannah wore today! I was determined to find it. I found one- not the best because it isn't a full body shot, but hey I found it! But that 45 mins "wasted" means this will be a short post as it is after midnight and I need to go to bed.Savannah had some terrible reflux today during her tube feeding. They actually had to stop the feed in the middle of it so she could stabilize her breathing. Her oxygen saturation levels dropped and her respiratory rate was pretty fast. The good news is she recovered on her own. She did really well for her next two feeds. I breastfed her for one. She breastfed for 12 mins. The nurse bottle fed for the next one. She finished the whole bottle- all 44mls! She did have some fast breathing but she did not drop her oxygen saturation levels.
More good news- her pda is a little bit smaller. She still has her pda and will need to follow up with a cardiologist, but it is moving in the right direction. No surgery or meds needed for now.
No other changes- She is at 44mls. She weighs the same as yesterday.
Savannah's BFF hit another hurdle. All of her feeds have been stopped. Her stomach expanded and she had a tube to her stomach that starting collecting some green substance. She also had some yellow tears- possible side effect of her medicine. Her liver is at risk. All of her doctors are coming together tomorrow for a brainstorming session. Please for answers, peace, healing and wisdom. They are probably also going to bring in someone for a 2nd opinion.
Baby N is still working on coming home-maybe on Sunday. He had some desats with his feeds ( similar to Savannah) so pray for that to cease.
Thank you for praying for Savannah and her friends. We definitely believe in the power of prayer!
Flashback: Baby Kevin at 1 month old- wearing his first outfit.
