Which is a good thing because it means that Savannah is closer to coming home. It means she is stable and does not require intense care. However it's sad because it means we're no longer neighbors with her BFF. NICU west is on the 4th floor in the older section of the hospital.
Savannah is up to 46mls fed over a 30 minute period. The milk is still fortified to 30 calories and thickened with simply thick. She is up to 2 PO feeds (either breastfeeding or bottle) per shift so that it is a total of 4 PO feeds in a 24hr period. She also had her hearing test today. She passed! Which is great because she did not pass it 2 weeks ago. She is 5lbs 11oz!
She did well for most of her feeds. However she did reflux pretty badly for the last feed. The nurse had to suction milk out of her mouth and nose. Poor baby! I felt so bad because she was obviously uncomfortable.
Great news! We got selected to be the ambassador family for 2011 March For Babies. This means we'll help raise awareness about prematurity by sharing our story and we'll help promote the walk to ultimately raise money for babies. Last year's event was the largest ever and I know we can top that. Baby Kevin's picture and short bio will be on the promotional flyers. More details to come as I'm still learning all the responsibilities.
Thank for continuing to pray for Savannah and her friends. Please pray specifically for her reflux to go away and for her to conquer feeding so we can bring her home.
This picture is not from today. This is from the first day that Oma and Granddaddy got to hold her.

Baby Kevin loves LOVES his truck. This is a Christmas Day picture.
She was refluxing hence the not so happy face...but I wanted to get a picture of her in this very cute sleeper from Baby Kevin's godparents. It has little bunny feet!
Smiles for mommy!

All snuggled up
