Savannah- 6 days old

Baby Kevin and Hunter at the hospital. They did such a good job of keeping each other entertained.
After Michelle's Mommy makeover...lol she tried to "pretty me up". This was taken Saturday.

Savannah is doing well. She met her granddaddy today for the first time. Three main changes since my last update. Good News!!

1. She is eating every 3 hours. Today they increased her meal from 1cc to 3cc. She is handling the feedings well. They will gradually increase the amount until they get to 12 cc. She will stay at 12cc until she reaches 2lbs. Once she is 2lbs, they will increase her feeding amount. She is currently holding at 810 grams or 1lb 13oz.

2. They got the picc line in. This means she will not have to get stuck everyday for the IV lines. Everything will be administered via the picc line. Please pray that the picc line will be stable and remain infection free. There is always a risk of infection with a picc line.

3. They think she is stable enough to tolerate the kangaroo carry. Kangaroo carry is where I get to hold her on my chest. I have to hold her for at least an hour. It is a lot of movement for her. I didn't kangaroo her today because of my own health. I still cannot sit still for an hour. The NICU still feels hot to me so I have to take breaks. I get dizzy and light headed. Anyways, once I can physically handle it, I will start holding her so she can hear my heartbeat and bond with me.

She is a feisty baby. It was a while before I heard Baby Kevin cry. Savannah is more active than her brother. She does not like the cold wipes. She starts crying the minute she feels the wipe. I plan to make a video of her so you can see. She was very active inside and has continued that trait. She like her brother has already pulled out her feeding tube. She got some really cute preemie outfits todays (thanks to my other preemie mom friends). She'll be ready for her fashion show once she can wear clothes :)

Please pray for her continued growth/development, to remain infection free, and for her brain. Her last brain scan showed a VERY small spot. It MAY be a small brain bleed. They will do an ultrasound tomorrow. Please pray for a good scan and that nothing is wrong with her brain. The doctor didn't seem too concerned, but as always you can't help but hold your breathe when you hear about potential bad news. On another note, I meet her neighbor today. She is a 26 weeker who is a week older than Savannah. She required surgery for her intestines and heart so keep Savannah's neighbor in your prayers too.

Here are some pictures. FYI: I'll still post Baby Kevin pics too :) His pics are another disk.

All snuggled in her little bed. The light on her toe measures her oxygen levels.
She put her hand by her face as if to say "I'm trying to sleep. Please come back later"

The nurse is checking her vitals before her feed.
This was taken this morning (10/26) She is back on photo therapy again. Her bili levels are back up. Check out her little sock doll.
