26 weeks/ Kevin's Fun Facts

This picture was taken at 26 weeks before a friend's wedding.

Kevin had another busy week. Here are some funny/interesting things from this week.

- He has starting "laying" down in the bath like he's trying to do a butterfly stroke. I was concerned because this meant he would end up sorta gagging on the water. Then I realized he was doing this on purpose. He was trying to slowly sip the bath water. Yuck! lol uhmm no Kevin if you're thirsty we'll get some water or milk later!

-Add a new word to his list. It is cracker. He says it VERY clearly. I didn't realize the potential negative view of this word until I posted it on facebook. lol thanks Kevin (my brother) and Carlos for pointing it out to me. Anyways he says cracker for his animal crackers and gerber cookies. He knows exactly where to find them at home or in the diaper bag.

-Going back to his love of water. This wednesday at church I took him into the bathroom with me - I should have dropped him off at the nursery first. Anyways I was picking up my purse, bible etc and turned around to find him splashing in the toilet water. YUCK! He's never done this before. Thankfully it was a freshly flushed bowl. hmmm does the fact that it was at church make it "holy water"? Well he got a cleaning with soap and germx.

- Kevin and Evalette were enjoying the backyard at Evalette's grandma's house. Kevin opted not to play with the bubbles or toys because he loved the broom. He took off with this broom and ran around the backyard like a knight going into battle. It was soo funny to watch. He then dumped the broom and starting rolling in the grass. yep he's definitely a boy. lol I had to dust all this grass off him and pull it out of his hair so he could re-enter the house.

-Olivia and I took him to the park over the weekend. He LOVES the swings. We can also add "weeee" to his list. He said it with each push. It was so cute. yes, I will try and get this on video.

"Weeeee" I love the swings!

hmm roadtrip? I'll drive.

Olivia and Kevin at the playground.
Interesting. I thought I'd be at least by 3ft tall by now.
Oh well I'll be tall before you know it. Let's go find that slide.

Pregnancy: 26 weeks

Weight Gain: no change since last week. Yes this surprises me too!

Sleep: Some nights have been harder than other nights, I can’t seem to find a comfortable position, but I’m not complaining. Baby Savannah needs at least another 11 weeks inside.

Gender: GIRL!!

Name: Savannah---middle name is still undecided. I thought I found it, but Kevin doesn’t love it too. The search continues.

Feeling: tired. I can fall asleep during a 15min car ride at lunch! As the traces of pink and purple make their way into our house, I’m starting to get more excited. I can’t believe she’ll be here around Christmas. We still haven’t started on the big boy room or the girly nursery. Although I do think I’ve found the nursery décor. It’s a purple theme. I couldn’t paint the walls pink without thinking of pepto bismol- yuck! I love the color purple anyways- I hope she does too.

Cravings: I can’t think of any cravings for this week. Just trying to stay clear of any foods that cause heartburn- nothing fried or greasy please!

Struggles/Limitations: Thankfully Baby Kevin is enjoying walking alongside me. I’m holding him a lot less. The lap room space is surely disappearing. I’m trying to avoid walking like a duck, but I’m sure that’s what I look like at times- oh well. I also hate to admit it but some of maternity clothes are getting too tight so I might need to go shopping again.

Health (Savannah/Mine): Savannah’s no updates since the last one. She’s moving around a lot! I’m still doing good, but I could be better! BP is at a good rate, but I have been fighting off headaches and some minor swelling. The wedding bands have been moved to my necklace. :)

Movement: Very, very active! yep- she’s moving all over the place. She better be enjoying it because the checkout date isn’t coming up soon. This week I've been able to see my belly move from her kicks so she's getting a lot stronger and making her presence know.

Belly: yep- it’s there- just look at the picture. (picture to come. I'll took one yesterday. I just need to find the cable so I can upload)

Current Medications: prenatal vitamins and a daily low dose aspirin (81 mg)

Next Appointment: Monday, October 11th. This appointment is for the much loved glucose test. I was not wise and didn’t take my own advice. The appointment is for 1:15 and I can’t eat 3 hours before the appointment. I should have made it for first thing in the morning, but I didn’t. We’ll see how Monday goes…
