Pure Joy

Pure Joy! - Is what I feel as I watch Baby Kevin sleep. He is so perfect. He went to his pedi appointment on Monday. He is now 6lbs 1 oz and 19 3/4 inches. He got his 2 month old shots. He cried a little but he did not put up too much of a fuss. We have still have 3 more doctor visits this upcoming month but considering that he should not even been born yet- he is doing great! We still have to keep limited exposure..even church is off limits for at least a month.

We went from Room 16 to home at his nursery - although he is sleeping in the bassinet by our bed. I can't put him in the crib yet :) and it makes night feedings easier!

We went from the tubby to the delux tub! (Thanks Barbara for the tub)

We went from limited holding time to holding him all we want! Kevin was concerned about holding him too much, but the peditrician and the NICU staff sided with me :-). We are to hold him and love ALL we want. It's bonding time. He's been in such a sterile environment with limited contact so we're playing catchup. Pedi said when he is around 4 months then we can then introduce self-soothing but for now holding him and loving him equals a less fussier baby later. lol so I'll get back to loving him.
