My friend's baby is going home to day. Her NICU journey is over. I look forward to when her son and Baby Kevin are strong enough to have play dates together. Baby Kevin is doing well. He is still sticking to eating every 2 hours but I have been reading that this is normal- especially for breastfed babies. They eat differently (amounts and feeding cycles) than formula fed babies. He hasn't been weighed recently but I know that he is gaining. He is starting to fill out his preemie onesies!
We introduced him to his entertainment center today. My parents bought it for him. He was awake for a good two hours so I read to him and then we played in the ocean entertainment center. :) Trying to expose early on to ocean creatures because I love the beach!
His new thing to do is hold his pacifier and pull it out. He'll start to cry and then he'll put the pacifier back in. He repeats this several times. It's so funny because he gets so mad but he is the one that is taking his pacifier away! Silly boy :)
I signed on to a pregnancy/first year website forum. It greeted me by saying- Congrats on your little one. We noted your due date is June 25th. We hope your little one arrived safely. uhmm thanks website. :)
He is now 2 months 1 week old. His adjusted age is 3 days old. That's right- 3 days old!
Anyways I am off to take a nap.
