Baby Kevin will be in the NICU for a few more days. They want to continue to observe him because of the brady and desat (Destating - when oxygen saturation levels dip below a set point usually 85%) events. He had two last night. While I am sad that he is not coming home tomorrow, I do understand why and was expecting them to postpone his discharge when I heard how his night went.
He still doing well. He has the eating thing down :-) He is very alert at feeding time. I sometimes have to pace him because he is so eager to eat. He weighed in at 5lbs 8oz last night so he is definitely continuing to grow. I love his now chunky cheeks. There is nothing better than holding your son and listening to him breathe and just rejoicing in the fact that he is OK.
I am off to take a nap..the lack of sleep has caught up with me.

God holds Him and we wait patiently for His release from NICU.
