My smiley girl

Oh no! What is my brother trying to do? Helloooo?

I love her in dresses- thanks cousin Christina

I don't even know where to begin. It's been so long since my last blog entry! I guess I'll start with Savannah. She is 10lbs now and 21.5 inches now. She is rolling over from stomach to her back. She is super smiley! and is making all sorts of cooing noises. She has SO much hair- just like her cousin. She sleeps a lot- sometimes she sleeps better at night than her brother does. I'm not complaining at all I could use one good sleeper. She is reaching for things and being more active. She is a little delayed because of her prematurity so she starts physical therapy this month. She is doing really well considering how early she was born. Last saturday, she had a photo session with her BFF Paisynn. It was so amazing to see the girls side by side and no longer in isolettes. I held back the tears because I knew if I started crying that Paisynn's mom would join me. I am thankful that God used to the NICU to bring two wonderful supportive moms into my life.
Baby Kevin and I have been very busy with March for Babies. We have done 5 speeches so far and have 2 more upcoming events. We also have been spotlighted in 4 different newsletters. Baby Kevin is loving the attention. He always does something to surprise me. At the last event, a room full of HEB employees (about 125 people) He woke up and starting playing with a lady on the 3rd row. He then proceeded to blow her kisses. Yes- he did! lol he is a very active little boy. I'm so blessed to have the opportunity help further the mission of the March of Dimes. Our team Prayers Granted is only $405 short of $3,000. I have no doubts that we'll reach our goal.
I will not attempt to share the last month in one post. There is just too much to cover but here are some highlights about Kevin.
Kevin loves to dance. He enjoys any thing with music. It doesn't take much to get him moving. He enjoys watching the Fresh Beat Band in the mornings while I get Savannah and myself ready to go. He sings along with them.
His new phrases are "awww man" and "where did it go?" Grandma will put him on the phone so I can talk to him while I'm work and he'll say "Mommy? Where Mommy go?"
He is doing above and beyond my expectations when it comes to numbers, shapes, letters and colors. He knows ALL of his uppercase letters. He is really good at recognizing the triangle, and circle. He still has some trouble with rectangle and square. He knows all of his primary colors. He knows all his numbers from 1 to 10- in that he recognizes them. We still are working on counting from 1 to 10. Everything is an opportunity to learn. He loves his flash cards and books. When it comes time for lotion at night, I ask him to give me a letter and then I put the lotion on his stomach in the shape of the requested letter. He normally asks for a T or S and he'll check to make sure I did it right. Sometimes I put the wrong letter on purpose, he'll say "No mommy. T please" and then wipe the lotion off.
He loves his blocks and trucks. When he goes to Oma's house, he goes straight for the bag of blocks.
He finally got his first haircut. Daddy cut it for him. He didn't even tell me so I didn't get too many take pictures :( He doesn't understand my need to photo journalize everything :) I got some pictures near the end of the haircut.
He loves bubbles and side walk chalk which is how I've been entertaining him in the evenings. His favorite tv shows ( though I try to limit his tv time) are 1) Blue Clue's 2) Fresh Beat Band 3) Dora & Diego and 4) Sesame Street- for Elmo and Abby.
He loves his little sister. Sometimes too much because he'll try and wake her up around 3am in the morning when he is sneaking around. He's smart. He doesn't cry when he wakes up. He tries to be stealth and slip into our room and climb in the bed because he knows 9 out 10 times- I'm to tired to protest. Typically he does this around 3 or 4. I have to get up at 4:45 so it's not worth the battle.

All in all- I am enjoying life as a family of four! I'm so blessed and looking forward to what God has in store for us. Oh yeah we already had our first childless night. I surprised Kevin for our 3rd wedding anniversary. Thank you Oma and Granddaddy for helping with this surprise. We had a great time even though I missed my babies and called a few times to check on them.
I'll try and do better about updating the blog- especially for my out of town family. :) I'll post pictures of Kevin later. He mostly has video now because he doesn't stay still long enough for pictures.
