Sunday Updates Return

So much has happened since our last update. Here are some highlights

1. Savannah has 2 teeth on the bottom that just broke through on Friday evening. You can't really see them yet. Hence no pictures but you can feel the top of her teeth. Wow! She's growing up so fast. I told Kevin that Savannah has teeth. He got a confused look on his face "where's nannah's toothbrush?" Glad that he already concerned about her dental hygene.

2. Kevin loves LOVES to cook. I hope this trait continues. Today we made peach cobbler. He helped by shaking cinnamon over the peaches (so we have a cinnamon heavy dish). He also counted and added the sugar and flour to the bowl. He then helped scoop the batter over the peaches. " I cook peach cobbler. I cook. I cooking" He really enjoyed it.

3. Savannah loves to eat. She has had peaches, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, green beans, pears, bannanas, yogurt, rice cereal. She enjoys them all. Praying that means that we have another good eater in our future. She now actively reaches for the spoon and is very vocal if you're feeding her too slow. Don't mess with her food :)

4. Kevin has his first trip with Daddy to the barber shop. We have no pictures because Daddy didn't take any :(. He looks so different with his new haircut. He couldn't stop looking at himself in the mirror "Daddy cut hair. Hair all gone"

5. Savannah is up all four and rocking. She can transition in and out of the sitting position. She isn't crawling yet but she is very determined and can effectively scoot her way around the floor. She is also pulling herself up. She loves to stand, but I have to watch her closely because she thinks that she can walk.

6. Kevin continues to love and protect his little sister. I was clipping her nails the other day. Savannah started to protest her manicure. Kevin ran over and said "stop mommy. you hurt nannah. Nannah crying" Even though I wasn't hurting her, I still stopped because Kevin persistently pleading for his sister. It was so cute! Sidenote: on Saturday, we took pictures with some of their cousins. Their olders cousins, Nic (11) and Ale (9) were instructed by the photographer to get closer and please act like you like each other. Nic and Ale both responded with "we do like each other!!" Sad that is rare to hear a brother and sister proclaim their love for each other and that the opposite is expected. I pray that Kevin always looks out for his sister and that their sibiling relationship mirrors that of their cousins.

7. Kevin is a walking commercial for HEB. He loves LOVES HEB. If we pass one without stopping, he'll say "HEB!! I got to HEB!!". We got a birthday cake for my brother this weekend. Kevin said " HEB. Cake from HEB?" lol sorry Kevin but no the cake was not from HEB. Anyways as far he is concerned HEB is the place for all things food related.

8. Savannah is reaching and vocalizing her wishes now. It is so cute to watch her express herself. She is very expressive for someone so tiny. I still get comments all the time about her small size. I also get comments about her perfectly shaped eyebrows. Some people think I tweeze or shape them. Uhmm no I do not!!

9. Kevin is such a joy. I know I say this a lot. :) He woke up the other day singing "Jesus loves Me". He can sing all the lines and pronouncing it very well. It's nice when he wakes up so cheerful. He knows Jesus Loves Me because his Oma and I sing it to him before bed. He also got a bedtime stuffed lamb that plays the song. He loves to sing.

10. Aunt Melody FINALLY got to meet Savannah!!!!!! August 12th was a very special day. I had work so I missed being there for the moment, but I saw pictures. Her cousin Esperanza also met her for the first time. Espy said "awwwww!!" So Louise, Barry, Lisa and Sara still need to met her before she will have met all of her aunts and uncles. Looking forward to when she will meet them all well. I wish we had access to free airline tickets :) We would then go to Georgia, Puerto Rico and Barbados as soon as possible :) Then we would add other places to the list so she could meet all her cousins.

Well here are some pictures from our recent photo shoot and some other ones as well.

Savannah in the dress from Cynthia. She is trying to figure out this portrait studio thing.
Five kids (ages 9months to 11 yrs old)- We had several attempts at getting everyone to look at the camera. I liked this picture because everyone is so focused on the lone bubble :)

Kevin and Nic. Nic is a pro at taking pictures. He coached Kevin along. I love this picture of them.

The girls in their shades of purple. They all did well with smiling for the camera....it was just to hard to get one with all three smiling at the same time.

My baby girl. I didn't realize how much I called her Baby Girl until Kevin started to say. lol he'll get really close and say "hi babeeeey girrl. I wuv you!"

He is so good at making his sister laugh :)

Kevin with his new haircut. *tear* I miss my baby's curls! He looks so much older.

All five with their pillow pets. Giselle bought pillow pets for all the kids. Kevin loves his frog. It a must for bed time. Savannah loves her lady bug. She tries to chew on the nose. We have a dog, monkey, frog, lady bug and unicorn pillow pet. sidenote: Nic and Ale were smiling in EVERY picture. They did really well at focusing while we tried to get the 3 little ones attention.

Oma took them to Peter Pipper Pizza for fun with their cousins.

"Oma, where are we?"

Kevin loves to be with Tre and Noah.

Is my turn coming up next? I've been watching closely...
