- Everything will OK- the test will show that his brain is perfectly normal and there will be no abnormalities
- The hospital will call and able to schedule the ultrasound for tomorrow so we will not have to wait and wonder what if and what could be
- for continued peace
I am struggling with some guilt or sense of failure because I made assumptions and I did not ask earlier. Hopefully I can laugh later about this- it is a well known fact that a bigger head could be due to genetics. Yes, it's been the topic of several jokes which do not seem approriate right now. I also assumed that the soft spot was closing slower because he was a preemie. I knew something was off when the nurse measured his head 4 times and then went for the doctor. I am was so elated because his weight and height are on the growth chart for his actual age. He weighs 19lbs and is 26.5 inches which puts him in the 25% for weight and 5% for height. He was in prime charmer mode and was full of smiles and chatter for the receptionist, nurse and doctor. He only cried all of 5 seconds for the shot and then went right back to smiling at the nurse. He handled it very well. I am so proud of him.
Here are some pictures from the 9 month appointment. Thank you keeping us in your prayers.
Sitting on the exam table, waiting for the shot.
He got to check out the kiddie chair AFTER I santized it with my purse size lysol and some wipes :)
