7 Months Today

Baby Kevin is seven months today. We celebrated today by trying oatmeal and taking our Christmas photos. He is an oatmeal loving man- seems to prefer it to the rice cereal. Baby Kevin did not cooperate for the pictures. He looked confused about the camera- though we all know he shouldn't be!! I think we did get some good pictures just not very many with his smile. He would smile for me so they are some of him smiling while Daddy Kevin is holding him. Faith is a good photographer so I'm sure she got some good pictures regardless of her subjects :) If you want a Christmas card- please send me your mailing address. Yes- I am trying to be an adult and send Christmas cards this year. :)

Baby Kevin is officially rolling over from back to stomach. He is trying to move forward so I am predicting that the army crawl is coming soon. Yay!! Our little man is growing so big. I'm so proud of him and what a little fighter he is.

I sifted through the pictures and picked some that I have not posted before (I think I haven't). It's hard not to look back and really appreciate his growth as he hits each milestone. I am tired so I'll just leave with some pictures...(Reminder: You can click on the pictures to enlarge them)

The famous monkey- he loves this monkey.
Just shy of 7 months. He definitely knows how to pose and find the light...lol too bad he did not do that today!
I am not happy with my Auntie Ashley for putting my pants on my head! This is my "don't mess with me" face.
I am learning to like tummy time.
Taken June 3rd- You can really tell how much he has grown if you compare this picture to his other monkey picture.
One of my favorite pictures- he looks so small in Daddy's arms. I also LOVE the shoes!
His first picture with his monkey. (Thank you cousin Nic and Ale for my monkey!)
The early days- I loved kangaroo hold. It was the highlight of my day. I would hold him as long as they would let me (usually around an hour ). I loved this little cap and the blanket (thanks Kim).
One of my favorite pictures of him with his preemie soothie. He looked so little but yet so comfy despite all of the wires.
yet another one- I hesitated to post this because of chunky face- lol I know that's dumb. I love this one because of his little hand on my chest so cute even with an IV in his little head.
Back when we were both in the hospital. He now uses this blanket as a play mat. The orange thing is the feeding tube- they would feed him while I held him.

  1. Makes me tear up but such a special time to see God at work!!There was so much spiritual growth in all of us and we met some wonderful ladies at the hospital.I hope to see them all again soon. I remember the nights of driving to the hospital so that I could feed him his bottle- it went so quickly. Times of being excited at that ounce. The "setbacks" were just times of God stretching us to trust Him more. Now, he is Mr. Chunky:-) He is so loving!!

    Love you Baby and Mommy,
    Grandma
