It's been a fun filled and busy year. Maybe that's why I haven't posted since JULY!!
Today I am thankful for my children. My two miracle babies. I'm blessed that they truly are each other's best friend. I pray that as they grow they'll continue to look out for one another. For me I've been blessed with amazing sibilings. I have 8 brothers and sisters that are my constant cheerleaders. I love the bonds that we have and though Kevin and Savannah will not have as many sibilings as I did ( lol yeah not happening!) I pray they'll have the type of closeness that I have with mine.
They had a great christmas! Kevin really thought he was only getting three presents. His self originated idea! He was very surprised with all that he recieved. His grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, and friends showered him with presents. Savannah was all about the unwrapping of gifts too although she was more detailed. She even stopped mid present time to do a wardrobe change. I guess she really loved the outfit.
I hope I will always remember some of the conversations that they now have. For example this is Kevin's conversation tonight.
KG: "Remember when daddy took me to grandma's and Savannah went to your job. I was sad because I missed my sister"
Me: "uhmmm when was that?" (I couldn't remember- I think S had a dr appointment)
KG: " You took Savannah and I missed her. Savannah missed me. her brother. Can Savannah sleep with my room tonight? I think she might be scared by the fireworks. I think fireworks are awesome and cool but Savannah thinks they go boom and they're too loud and scary"
Me: " Savannah will be ok. No you may not have a sleepover."
KG: " ok. But when can I have a sleepover? I very much wanted to have a sleepover to me"
Mind you this after Savannah cried big crocodile tears for a toy that KG had. He handed it right over to her. I guess we'll keep working with her on the sharing.
Savannah's new thing is play to dress up, paint her nails and wear her bike helmet all around the house. It's a very interesting combination. A tinkerbell with a purple helmet.
Well my goal for 2013 is to work on monthly blog updates. I'd say weekly but no need to set unrealistic expectations!
I'll end with this. I'm SO grateful and blessed for all the family and friends my family has. We raised over 8,000 for the March of Dimes and placed 13th in the STATE , and 1st in the county. It amazes every year when we exceed the previous years fundraising amount. Thank you thank you SO much for each of you. May God grant us all a great 2013!
