Kevin is changing so quickly. His vocabulary and ability to process certain concepts amazes me. He really is my little man. He is active, super social and very loving. He is now 27lbs 5 ozs and currently wears 24months to 2T clothes. Here are some recent funny moments courtesy of Kevin.
1. We were recently reading a book at bedtime. The story had several different farm animals. Once we have finished reading the book, Kevin began to ask about the book's absent farmer. He was very distraught that the farmer was not mentioned in the book. " Where is the farmer, mommy? Where did the farmer go? Mommy. Mommy. The animals need a farmer to feed them." I got him to calm down by telling him that the farmer was taking a nap and would take of the animals once he woke up.
2. Kevin LOVED everything about Christmas. He loved the music, nativity set, lights, trees, food, presents and all the family that came with Christmas. After Christmas, as people returned home and decorations where put away He would frequently ask " Where is Christmas? Christmas is missing. I can't find Christmas mommy. Christmas is hiding. Mommy where is Esperanza (his cousin) ? She is far far away like Christmas?" I love that he adores Christmas (my favorite holiday). I hope his love for Christmas continues throughout the years.
3. Kevin is his sister's biggest cheerleader. He celebrates all her milestones. Recently Savannah walked across the room, only to being crawling back. Kevin quickly said " No Nana. No more crawling! Walk Nana. You can do it Nana"
4. Kevin has acquired a love of the Price is Right from his Oma. He often says "Hellllllooooo KEVIN, Coooommmeee on DOWN!! Welcome to the Price is Right" He begins jumping, clapping and cheering. "Mommy, you're on the price is right. Win Mommy Win"
5. Kevin loves celery. I mean he LOVES LOVES celery. Recently we were in HEB. He was protesting " Mommy I want celery. I want celery in my tummy. Mommy may I have celery please?" People nearby were laughing at his antics. I can't complain. I am very happy that he isn't hooked on junk food.
Savannah broke 17 lbs!! She is now 17lbs 5ozs. She is still wearing 6-9 months clothes and size 2 shoe, but she is progressing :)
1. She is walking now. Not 100% of the time, she will walk across the room. She still prefers to crawl. It is really cute to see her walk because she is still so tiny. She looks like a little baby doll.
2. Savannah loves to play peek a boo. She'll walk over to laundry basket and pull out clothes and begin to play peek a boo. It's so cute. Yes she will say boo. ( She also says Ma Ma and Da Da). I tried to upload the video but it isn't working :(
3. Savannah also decided very early on that she was not going to eat baby food while the rest of us ate the good food. She never really made it to stage 3 foods because she refused to eat it. She is now on table food and mostly whole milk. Her favorite foods are mac n cheese (just like her brother), cheerios and yogurt. The minute she says anyone eating, she is in their face smacking her lips asking for a taste.
4. She is very affectionate with her dolls. She'll hug them and give them kiss and snuggle up against them. It's very cute to see.
5. She has learned to blow her nose (kinda of). She sees a tissue and she starts blowing her nose. She scrunches her nose up and blows in short bursts....all the while keeping her eyes closed.
Here are some pictures since our last blog update.
Just like daddy. Both Kevins fell asleep on our way to Savannah, GA. Yes Savannah got to visit the place she named after. It was her first airplane flight.
