Five Fun Facts about Baby Kevin

1. We finally graduated to the big boy car seat. He has been ready for a while. His legs were hitting against the back seat as they dangled over the rear-facing baby car seat. The delay for this graduation- he was still under 22lbs so the baby car seat was ok to use and the major reason is I'm lazy and didn't make time to figure out how to install the car seat. Well he's forward facing now and loving the car rides. See for yourself :)
2. He has a camera smile now. lol I discovered this on monday. I thought I was imagining it, but nope every time he sees the camera- he gets this cheesy grin! It's soooo cute. He only does it for the "real" cameras. He will not do for the camera phones. Here are some pictures of the "cheesy face". I need to post a picture of Esperanza's "cheesy" face because they have some similarities.

ok for comparison- this a real smile :) He's working on his golf game. (Sidenote: yes, there really is THAT much drool!)
Mommy let me pull out the dvds. Shhhh don't tell daddy.
...and this is the cheesy face. He squints his eyes and tries to show all his teeth. I wonder where he got this from? :)
3. Kevin now loves to help me comb his hair. I usually comb it right after I wash it while he's in the bath tub still playing. Anyways he never seemed to pay much attention to me until Tuesday. He reached up grabbed the comb and then tried to comb his hair. I was worried he might scratch up his ear because he can't quite do it right, but he is trying!

This obviously has nothing to do with the "combing fact". I will take a picture of that for you later. This picture is of Kevin taking the toy away from Madison. Yes, we need to work on sharing. Madison came over to his Oma's house so they could play while I was at work.
4. Kevin loves books. We found out maybe a little too much! He decided to take a bite of his favorite book at Oma's house. So now I'm watching him closely to make sure he doesn't try to taste the stories.

5. I stopped at a gas station on the way home from work to pickup milk for Baby Kevin. I was trying to juggle carrying him while walking in my high heels, holding my purse, keys and cell phone. I was pretty impressed with myself that I managed to do it all and find a free hand to get the milk. Anyways, the employees started to investigate a car alarm. It was pretty loud and echoed throughout the gas station. One employee even left the checkout to make sure that their cars were ok. I didn't think anything of this alarm situation and continued to wait in line- wondering how I would get the cash of my purse because I had no more free hands. I bought the milk and starting walking to the truck. It was at this exact moment that I realized that Baby Kevin had my keys and he had pushed the alarm button on the truck's remote. Yes, it was my truck alarm that had caused on the commotion. I got us quickly in the truck and hoped that no one noticed that it was us that caused the alarm drama. I guess next time I'll check and I'll keep a better eye on Kevin's source of entertainment.

Now do I look like someone that would do that? I was just playing while mommy bought my milk.
