It’s such a blessing to have both sides our families in Texas. The Grant side and the Sayers side came together to celebrate Baby’s first Christmas. It was sooo much easier on us because we didn’t have to split our time. Most of the Sayers spent Christmas Eve night with us. Baby Kevin got to stay up a late (ok maybe not- he went to bed around 8:15- that’s late for him!) and visit with everyone before he to bed. Aunt Gi read “Twas the Night before Christmas” for all the kids. I read him “God Gave Us Christmas” and then he went to bed in his Christmas PJs.
He got me up early so we could make breakfast for the crew. He supervised from his high chair until Auntie Giselle fed him his morning oatmeal and bottle. After breakfast and a nap, we opened the gifts. We then piled into the cars and then went to the Grant’s house for more presents and Christmas dinner.
Baby Kevin was more into the presents than I thought…err correction...more into the wrapping paper and bows! I think he got a little frustrated because I would not let him eat it. I know- I can be so mean. Our family was very generous and showered him with a blockbuster Christmas. Daddy Kevin got to experience the fun of assembling the toys. I told him to get used to it because there is just more of that to come.
He loved all his toys- except for the one that sounds too close to the vacuum cleaner. It’s does say 12 months and up so maybe he’ll like it when he is a little older. The paparazzi was present and I’m sure they are a lot of great pictures floating around. Brother Kevin (yes- I know we have too many Kevins) took the family photo. I’ll share that once I get it from him. His camera has a remote so it worked the best for getting the group shot.
Here are the highlight pictures from my camera. Thanks to Giselle for taking the pictures for me.
Our happy little family- yes I love my Kevins!
